This November, internationally acclaimed conductor Evan Rogister makes a highly anticipated debut with Atlanta Opera, bringing his dynamic artistry to Verdi’s timeless masterpiece, La traviata. Celebrated for his expressive musicality and nuanced interpretations, Rogister leads this exquisite production, guiding audiences through Verdi’s profound tale of love, loss, and sacrifice.
La traviata comes alive in a sumptuous and emotionally rich staging by Francesca Zambello, complemented by a stellar cast of world-class artists. Mané Galoyan embodies the tragic beauty of Violetta Valéry, joined by Long Long as the passionate Alfredo Germont, and Anthony Clark Evans as the conflicted Giorgio Germont. Rounding out the cast are Wayd Odle (Gastone), Luke Harnish (Baron Duphol), Hadleigh Adams (Marchese d’Obigny), David Crawford (Doctor Grenville), Ilanna Starr (Flora Bervoix), and Alexis Seminario (Annina).
La traviata plays November 8, 11, 14, and 16 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. The November 14 performance will be livestreamed by The Atlanta Opera Film Studio, and will be offered free with email registration.
